All Jaipur Area Women Welfare Society Leads Plantation Drive Under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Initiative

NAMSAI, July 11: In a meaningful gesture towards environmental conservation, the All Jaipur Area Women Welfare Society successfully conducted a two-day plantation drive under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” along with the “Clean & Green Jaipur” initiative. The campaign, held on July 10 and 11, witnessed the planting of more than 100 saplings across three key locations: N. Ratan Gidi Notko Jaipur, Bogamur, and Mengkengmiri in Namsai District.

The initiative was not just an environmental effort but also an emotional tribute, where each sapling symbolized a token of gratitude and remembrance to mothers, both living and departed. The theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” resonated deeply with the participants, many of whom shared personal reflections about their mothers while planting the tree, said  President AJAWWS Bijonti Ratan.

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Hema Payum. said, “Through this drive, we not only aim to protect and preserve our environment but also pay a tribute to the nurturing spirit of every mother. A tree symbolizes life, growth, and protection—just like a mother does.”

The campaign was marked by enthusiastic participation from  Adi Baane Kebang –Namsai Unit President and General Secretary, along with youth volunteers, village elders, and school children who came together with a shared vision of creating a greener and healthier environment. The All Jaipur Women Welfare Society, known for its community-centric initiatives, once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to sustainable development and environmental awareness.
