DNGC Inaugurates Computer Lab-3 Under NIELIT Study Centre to Boost Digital Learning

ITANAGAR, Aug 6: The Dera Natung Government College (DNGC), Itanagar, witnessed the inauguration of Computer Lab-3 under the NIELIT DNGC Study Centre today, marking another milestone in advancing digital education in the region.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. M.Q. Khan, Principal of DNGC, who served as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the lab. In his address, Dr. Khan lauded the efforts of NIELIT Itanagar in fostering digital literacy and skill development, particularly in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence. He urged students to seize the opportunities being brought to their doorstep and prepare themselves for a tech-driven future.

Heads of various academic departments were also present, adding academic significance to the occasion.

Shri R.K. Bigensana Singh, Director In-charge of NIELIT Itanagar, delivered the welcome and keynote address. He elaborated on the role of NIELIT in bridging the digital divide through capacity-building programs and introduced students to the range of career-oriented courses being offered, including training in AI and other modern technologies.

The NIELIT DNGC Study Centre, which began operations in 2019 with a 20-computer lab, has now expanded significantly. The newly inaugurated Lab-3 houses 50 internet-enabled computers and will cater to students from both within and outside the college, offering a variety of ICT-based training courses throughout the year.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the presence of dignitaries, faculty, and students, and encouraging learners to fully utilize the facility to enhance their academic and professional growth.
