ITANAGAR, Sept 3: The President of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), Shri Bosiram Siram, actively participated in the celebrations of the Solung Festival by joining the vibrant Ponung in more than ten Adi villages across his home constituency and nearby areas.
As part of the festivities, Shri Siram also hosted a grand Solung Ponung Lunch Party at his residence, where he warmly welcomed and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ponung Cultural Team, respected senior leaders, Gaon Burahs and Gaon Buris, youth, and village elders whose gracious presence made the gathering truly meaningful.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Siram stated ‘ “It is a matter of immense pride and joy for me and my family to host the Solung Ponung Lunch Party on this auspicious occasion of the Solung Festival. Your esteemed presence not only added warmth to the celebration but also enriched the festive spirit with unity and togetherness.”

In his short address, the APCC President highlighted the cultural importance of Solung-
“The Solung Festival is not only a celebration of our age-old agricultural traditions but also an occasion to reaffirm our values of community bonding, respect for elders, and love for our heritage. Today’s gathering reflects the true essence of Solung—sharing joy, strengthening brotherhood, and honoring the legacy of our forefathers.”
During the festival period, Shri Siram visited more than ten villages, where he joined the community in Solung Ponung celebrations, extended festive greetings, and conveyed blessings of peace, prosperity, and happiness to village elders, leaders, men and women, youth, and children alike.
