ITANAGAR, Mar 13 : In view of the upcoming G20 summit, where representatives of various countries are to attend a meeting at Itanagar this month, Mayor Tamme Phassang chaired a meeting to review the preparedness of Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) here at IMC office on Monday.
Speaking to the media, Mayor informed that a meeting was conducted to review the preparedness of IMC on various groundworks. It is a proud moment for us that representatives from various countries will visit Itanagar to attend G20 Meeting. So, we appealed to every citizen of the state to take responsibility to keep our city clean and green. IMC is doing its part, but it is the denizen who plays the major role, added Mayor.
He further added the Corporation is associated with civic infrastructure improvement and beautification work. Several development activities have been planned for the summit for the visitors and foreign delegates.
While responding to the query on reports of dissidents amongst the corporators, Phassang also stated that “ all is well in the IMC, there was some report of No confidence motion, but it was officially withdrawn now. We are family and there may have some differences of opinion about the system that doesn’t mean we are against each other. Indeed, other corporators will join the preparedness for G20 summit, and am also ready to work with them, asserted Mayor Tamme Phassang.
Stating that, Mayor also informed that there was some report about the “ No Confidence Motion” but as of now that has been withdrawn officially.
