ITANAGAR, Mar 30:   Alleging No responses from the  Police and state government despite serving a one-week ultimatum on the mysterious death case of  Under Secretary-APPSC Tumi Gangkak, today Galo Welfare Society has resorted to organizing a dharna on April 1 next and also threatens to call capital bandh if the government failed to respond on the case.

speaking to the media at the press club, General Secretary GWS Nyadar Loya claimed that despite repeated representations and serving seven days’ ultimatum on the Lt Tumi Gangkak mysterious death case, the authority has failed to submit any concrete report. We still believe that the death of the Under Secretary is Murder, if the government thinks that it is not murder then they should release the report in the public domain, he added.

Stating that, Loya informed that GWS will organize Dharna at IG park on April 1 next followed by mass Leave by Galo Government employees serving in all the district on April 10 next and if also government failed to respond, GWS may resort to the capital bandh.

“I appeal to every section of society, even AAPSU to give support to GWS to confer justice to  Late Gangak. There is no any communal colour , though he was from Galo community but was a government employee and citizen of this state, and the prime witness in the APPSC job scam but his murder is crafted and pre-planned, added GWS General Secretary.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police, ICR- Jimmy Chiram in its official statement informed that, the case is still under investigation through the SIT formed under Capital police.

The investigation team has completed the search and seizure from the spot, collected PM report, collected and analyzed over 100 hours of CCTV footage, detailed CDR analysis of victims, suspects and others, detailed interrogation of various suspects and witnesses. Some evidence has been sent to FSL for further analysis, and the reports are awaited. Further, CCTV footage is further being analysed for any other findings. The call data records from nearby mobile towers have also been collected and are being analyzed.

The updates of investigation is being shared with the victim family in regular basis. Any other organization may contact the capital police for any information regarding the case.

Capital police is trying to complete the investigation at the earliest, however, as of now due to awaiting of reports, conclusive report cannot be provided, he added.
