ITANAGAR,June 24: : Chief Minister Pema Khandu has voiced his deep dissatisfaction with the sluggish progress of the Package B section of the NH-415 Four Lane Highway, which stretches from Papu Nallah to Nirjuli.

During a review meeting held to assess the damage to the highway between Itanagar and Naharlagun, as well as other areas in the state capital affected by recent heavy rains, Khandu expressed resentment over the “dismally slow” construction pace. He highlighted the significant inconvenience this delay has caused for commuters.

“The delay is causing immense harassment to the public,” Khandu stated, directing highway department officials to expedite the construction work immediately while maintaining high-quality standards. “Ensuring timely completion and maintenance of our infrastructure projects is crucial for the benefit of our citizens and the state’s development.”

Khandu also expressed serious concern over the damage inflicted by heavy rains in the state capital and nearby regions. He urged the concerned departments to promptly undertake necessary repair works on the highway to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and prevent further disruption to daily routines.

Present at the review meeting were Advisor to the PWD Minister Phurpa Tsering, Principal Secretary Kaling Tayeng, and senior PWD Highway officials. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of swift action to address these issues and alleviate public distress.
