CM Pema Khandu Unveils Logo for Eaglenest Bird Festival-2025, Announce Calendar Event

TAWANG/BOMDILA:  In a significant boost to Arunachal Pradesh’s eco-tourism and biodiversity conservation efforts, Chief Minister Pema Khandu unveiled the new logo of the Eaglenest Bird Festival, officially marking it as a calendar event for the state. The festival’s fourth edition is scheduled to be held from January 17 to 19, 2025, spanning Khellong (Doimara) and Thongre village.

“This festival is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of Arunachal Pradesh’s unmatched biodiversity and a step towards fostering community-led conservation and sustainable eco-tourism,” stated CM Khandu during the announcement.

Key Highlights of the Festival

  1. Declaration of the Trail of His Holiness the Dalai Lama
    The festival will spotlight the historic route traveled by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1959, emphasizing its rich cultural and spiritual significance.
  2. Inauguration of the Eco Bio-Diversity Park at Atho-Nyo (Doimara Khellong)
    This park, home to a tree planted by His Holiness during his iconic journey, stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of conservation and peace.
  3. Exciting Birdathon and Adventure Trekking Events
    Nature enthusiasts can look forward to participating in birdathons and trekking adventures, providing an immersive experience in the breathtaking landscapes and avian diversity of the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary.
