ANJAW, Feb 4: Minister for Women and Child Development Dasanglu Pul conducted an inspection of various ongoing development projects in Anjaw district, focusing on enhancing infrastructure and connectivity under the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) and North Eastern Council (NEC) initiatives.
During her visit, Pul reviewed the construction of a new road connecting the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) road to Kandun village. The road, a significant project under the Vibrant Village Programme, aims to improve accessibility in remote border areas, facilitating better connectivity for local residents.
The minister also inspected the installation of a high-mast flag post at Bara Kandun. Speaking on the occasion, she highlighted the symbolic importance of the flag post, stating that it represents the spirit of nationalism and development in the frontier region.

At Kibithoo, India’s easternmost town, Pul assessed the progress of a tourist lodge being constructed under the NEC initiative. She noted that the lodge would not only promote tourism but also generate employment opportunities for the local community, contributing to the region’s economic growth.

“We are committed to ensuring that even the remotest villages in our border region receive the necessary infrastructure for growth and prosperity,” Pul stated. “These projects will play a crucial role in improving connectivity, boosting tourism, and enhancing the overall socio-economic development of the district.”

Additionally, the minister reviewed other development schemes in Kibithoo, Kaho, and Musai under the Vibrant Village Programme. She reiterated the government’s vision of making border villages self-reliant and well-connected, emphasizing the importance of strategic development in these areas.

Pul was accompanied by Anjaw Zilla Parishad Chairperson Soblem Pul, Deputy Commissioner Millo Kojin, Superintendent of Police Rike Kamsi, ZPMs of Manchal and Hawai South, and other senior officials from various departments.
