CHANGLANG, Nov 4: A five-day Training-cum-Capacity Building Programme for Master Trainers, Head Teachers, and Teachers of PM SHRI Schools under Changlang District for the academic session 2025–26 commenced today at DIET Changlang.

The inaugural session was graced by Shri Rajiv Lomdak, DDSE Changlang, as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Shri J.K. Katiyar, Principal DIET Changlang, Shri Jarma Baja, DPC (ISSE), Shri Ampee Taijong, BRCC, Shri Monkam Jongsham, CRCC, and Shri Nanman Jugli, Coordinator. A total of 45 teachers from 13 PM SHRI Schools across the district are participating in the training.

In his inaugural address, DDSE Rajiv Lomdak underscored the vital role of PM SHRI Schools in transforming the education landscape. He urged teachers to focus on innovative and creative teaching-learning processes that set PM SHRI institutions apart from regular schools. He also highlighted that the government provides additional grants, modern learning tools, and Atal Tinkering Labs to enhance the quality of education, and therefore, it is essential for schools to ensure judicious and effective use of these resources for their intended purpose.

Addressing the gathering, DPC (ISSE) Shri Jarma Baja emphasized the importance of adhering to directives from higher authorities for the smooth and timely implementation of various projects initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. He urged all PM SHRI Schools to actively engage in national initiatives like the School Innovation Council, School Innovation Marathon, and Veer Gatha Project. He encouraged teachers to inspire students to participate wholeheartedly in such programs to nurture creativity, innovation, and a spirit of excellence.
The five-day programme aims to empower teachers with modern pedagogical skills, foster innovation in classrooms, and strengthen the overall implementation framework of PM SHRI Schools in the district.
