DOIMUKH/RGU,Dec 19: The Rajiv Gandhi University Research Scholars Forum (RGURSF) marked a historic achievement today by unveiling its first-ever concrete bye-law since its inception in 2012. The momentous occasion, held at the RGURSF office in Tissa Halls of Residence, also featured the release of the forum’s annual calendar and the official launch of its track suit.
The program was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Happy Toko, Advisor to the President of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU), and Guest of Honour Mr. Gyamar Maya, Convener of the Arunachal Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU). The event saw the presence of RGURSF executive members, research scholars, and distinguished guests.
In his keynote address, Chief Guest Mr. Happy Toko hailed the bye-law as a transformative step for RGURSF, emphasizing its significance as a guiding document for the forum’s operations. “This concrete bye-law reflects the vision, commitment, and collective effort of the RGURSF team. It establishes a structured framework that will enable the forum to achieve its goals effectively,” he said. Applauding the drafting committee for their diligence, Mr. Toko reaffirmed his support for RGURSF in addressing scholars’ grievances and advancing their objectives.
Guest of Honour Mr. Gyamar Maya also commended the forum’s achievement. “RGURSF has demonstrated its intellectual strength by drafting a robust and comprehensive bye-law in record time. This milestone underscores the forum’s dedication to fostering collaboration and driving positive change,” he remarked, encouraging scholars to continue supporting one another and working towards academic excellence.
RGURSF President Mr. Tagru Talu expressed gratitude to the executive and drafting committee members for their tireless efforts in realizing this long-awaited accomplishment. Calling the release of the bye-law a “dream come true,” Mr. Talu highlighted its importance in strengthening RGURSF’s institutional framework. “This milestone will define our tenure and pave the way for impactful initiatives, including national and international seminars and workshops,” he stated.
The event concluded with enthusiastic participation from attendees, reflecting the forum’s commitment to fostering academic and intellectual collaboration. With the bye-law now in place, RGURSF is poised to play a more significant role in promoting research excellence and addressing the needs of its scholars.
