TAWANG, Mar 27: In a significant demonstration of joint operational capability, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Indian Air Force and other branches of the armed forces, successfully conducted the Tri-Service Integrated Multi-Domain Warfare Exercise ‘Ex Prachand Prahaar’ in the Eastern Theatre. The high-altitude exercise, held from March 25 to March 27, 2025, took place deep in the rugged terrain of Arunachal Pradesh and was aimed at simulating future warfare scenarios with an emphasis on joint operations.

Conducted under the aegis of the Eastern Command, the exercise showcased seamless integration of advanced surveillance technologies, strike capabilities, and multi-domain operational planning. The drill involved cutting-edge military platforms such as long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft, armed helicopters, UAVs, loitering munitions, and space-based assets, ensuring real-time situational awareness and precision engagement of targets.
As simulated targets were identified, coordinated strikes were executed using fighter aircraft, long-range rocket systems, medium artillery, swarm drones, kamikaze drones, and armed helicopters. These operations were carried out in an electronically contested battlefield environment, reflecting modern combat conditions.

The exercise was reviewed by Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, and Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, who lauded the troops for their operational excellence and professionalism.

Building on the momentum of Exercise Poorvi Prahar, conducted in November 2024, which focused on integrated aviation assets, Exercise Prachand Prahaar has taken joint warfare further by validating a fully integrated approach to surveillance, command and control, and precision firepower across the three services.

This high-intensity warfare exercise stands as a testament to the Indian Armed Forces’ commitment to jointness, technological superiority, and readiness to counter multi-domain threats. It underscores India’s strategic resolve to deter and, if necessary, decisively respond to emerging security challenges along its borders.(PRO Defence)
