APPSC Chairman Inaugurates New Examination Hall Ahead of Mains Exam 2024–25

ITANAGAR, Apr 4: In a significant development aimed at strengthening the examination infrastructure in the state, the Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Prof. (Dr.) Pradip Lingfa, today inaugurated the newly constructed Examination Hall at the Commission’s new office premises.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of APPSC Members Col. (Retd.) Koj Tad, Rosy Taba, and Jalash Pertin, along with Parul Gaur Mittal, IRS, Secretary of the Commission. Officials from both APPSC and the Public Works Department (PWD) also attended the event.

Constructed with the support of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and executed by the PWD, the new facility has been fast-tracked to ensure its readiness for the upcoming APPSCC (Mains) Examination 2024–25. Designed to accommodate large-scale examinations, the state-of-the-art building features 18 examination halls spread across three floors, with a total seating capacity exceeding 1,400 candidates.

The hall is equipped with modern infrastructure, including high-quality lighting, central cooling systems, CCTV surveillance for enhanced security, accessible washrooms, and lifts to ensure convenience and inclusivity for all examinees.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary APPSC Parul Gaur Mittal, IRS, provided a detailed briefing on the preparations for the Mains examination, which is scheduled to be held on April 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th, 2025. The examination will take place across both the new and existing APPSC buildings.

To ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examination, senior government officials have been designated as Observers and Coordinators. Adequate deployment of male and female security personnel will be made for frisking duties and to maintain law and order, while traffic police will manage vehicle movement and congestion during the exam days.

Mittal also urged all candidates to carefully read and follow the instructions printed on their Admit Cards and to arrive at the examination centre well ahead of time to complete all necessary entry formalities without delay.

The Commission reiterated its commitment to improving the examination experience through robust infrastructure and transparent processes, aiming to create a conducive and secure environment for both candidates and staff, added Secretary.
